What our teachers have to say
We have adopted the planning and assessment from The PE Hub throughout the school. Our teachers have a range of experience and confidence in teaching PE but all have found the plans to be an outstanding resource. Whether teachers have followed the plans closely and used the specific teaching points and breakdown of skills or whether they have used the outlines and added their own ideas around them; everyone values the plans. Most importantly, the quality of teaching and children’s enjoyment of PE has increased hugely since we started using the plans.
Middlemarch Junior School
These plans are really easy to follow and have helped me to improve my PE lessons. Using the clearly outlined structure has improved the flow of my lessons, maximising the time children spent on activity as a result. Using clearly defined success criteria in PE makes it much easier to engage and focus children, challenging them mentally as well as physically. I found the PE lesson plans particularly useful when teaching skills; breaking the skill down and then ensuring it’s used in the whole session really helped the children’s progression.
