Hockey - Safety

Safety is very important in hockey. Scroll down for a video guide to how to help ensure hockey is played safely. Children should always wear appropriate protective equipment, including a gum shield and shin pads. Teachers should regularly remind children of the rules, especially to keep sticks low and to be aware of others around them, Using a lighter ball is also recommended for primary-aged children. Clear routines, safe spacing, and consistent reminders help ensure hockey is played in a safe and enjoyable way for everyone.
